What is the tradition in the US when u first go to see a baby? I had no clue and just went to the store to buy - new born baby wishes card
a map and asked the lady what she thought would be appropriate to include reference to a nice circle with blue ribbons and a teddy bear on her subject, "is a boy" written on them. I thought that if they do it here. When I went to the parents to meet the child to see their faces of surprise, the card is empty? not a gift card or Smth? cutsy and left the circle in one corner where I left .... Then, if I do not know someone said in jest, that my card was left empty (only had my wish in it) "what have I done?" that's when I realized I had to do something other than a gift for parents, more concrete and practical ... I feel so bad, how can I solve this problem? If there is a way ... Thank you!

Always good to have a meal or a gift card for pizza, or offer to do the dishes, walking the dog, taking out the trash to do - something useful and practical. Yes, that was when someone came into my house w / a diaper bag, but I appreciate the most when my aunt has invaded my kitchen w or purchases, and made 2 trays of lasagna - eat all of us, then, and a to freeze and others share, but for the next week. And when my cousin of 16 years would give us something ... she suggested, "dog sit" for 2 weeks. I liked a lot more than nice clothes that my daughter never worn.
I think some people are materialistic ... Also ungrateful!
If you really want to do it, making food, a casserole or something. Do not go and buy a precious gift!
